The DynaMotor™ produces 99% less RFI than all other motor-drive technologies. The graph below illustrates the RFI advantages DynaMotor offers relative to variable frequency motor / drives compared to the CE certification standard EN50011 Class A 3M.
Variable speed drives using pulse width modulation (PWM) produce significant RFI due to their high frequency switching. In addition, PWM reduces reliability through increased motor insulation failure and bearing currents that reduce bearing life. Filters, isolation transformers, and shielded cable can be added to a variable speed motor / drive to reduce RFI at additional cost. DynaMotors' optical commutation technology eliminates high frequency switching and consequently RFI, therefore making it CE compliant to EN50011 Class A 3M.
